Meatopia Taptopia 2019 | Redchurch Brewery

Meatopia Taptopia 2019

Founded in the US by the late great Josh Ozersky and brought to the UK by chef Richard H Turner, Meatopia is a festival of high quality, ethically sourced meat, all cooked over ethically sourced wood and charcoal by some of the world’s leading top chefs. A weekend-long love affair of meat, drink, fire and music, Meatopia UK has become a legendary event for food lovers.

Redchurch were pouring across the entire weekend as apart of TAPTOPIA.

The first thing you feel when walking into the infamous Tobacco Dock is a sense of some of the amazing events that have taken place here over the years.

Honoured with a trophy cabinet full of awards over the last few years including Best Customer Service, Most Versatile Venue and Best Catering at the 2018 London Venue Awards, Best Catering at the National Venue Awards 2018 and Coolest Historic Venue at the Cool Venue Awards. Whilst being shortlisted in no fewer than seven categories in the 2019 London Venue Award.

Meatopia is known for its reputation of attracting some of the biggest names in BBQ and meat style cooking across the world so it would only be fitting to accompany this with some of the best in beer.

Meatopia was a great success for us, we chose to offer up our latest specials alongside our award-winning lager! Selling out of beer on the first day we had to make an emergency delivery!!

From Friday night straight through to Sunday evening the venue was filled with entertainment in the form of brass bands, Mexican Mariachi, flames the height of ceilings and DJs dropping banger after banger, there really was not a dull moment to be had.

With so much food and beverages on offer, it was somewhat of an overload on the senses (in a really good way!!) From slow-roasted pork to satay drenched chicken, half a roasted cow, chocolate covered apricots, bacon smoked donuts…the list went on and on. If you have not been to Meatopia as of yet, make next year the year!!
