Tasting Notes

This is one heck of a beer. Where to start? The taste has a distinct roastiness about it, almost of freshly roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate. Smooth vanilla and caramel with hints of fruit cake and cherry. Big creamy feel and a lingering finish. Sounds rude but try it and you’ll know exactly what we mean!

Not a fan

I love Guinness, but then I’m not a fan of any other stout. So my opinion should really not dictate if you decide to give this a try. I had it as part of a starter set, but there’s so many other brilliant redchurch beers I would have over this so no big deal.

The Stoutest Stout

This has to be my favourite stout. Depth of flavour that lasts. Very drinkable with a great balance of coffeeish and chocolate flavours. But really smooth to drink. So no need to leave it to the darker, stronger end of evening tipples. Make this the one to start and end on.

Best stout I've ever tasted

This stout seems to have all the elements of a stout in the right places - an exceptionally well flavoured drink.
Like another reviewer I first tried a bottle from a supermarket, and after enjoying it so much, I purchased a case direct from the
brewery. I've never done that before, so I guess that says something!

Rich, full of flavour

I've never really liked stout prior to trying this beer. Fair to say it's awesome, drink it at cool room temperature and savour the complex taste. I particularly like the after taste. A really nice way to end an evening.

Enjoyed this stout

Nice to have a Stout and this is a good one. Generally there are too many golden and pale beers these days. Pale beers have there place but they are limited in my cupboards. I also love that these beers come in sensible bottle and in not silly pretty cans.
